Dr. John Ronald Brown had an almost pathological aversion to performing surgery in hospitals, medical clinics, and anywhere else you might actually want to have major surgery. So he would basically split the penis, save the nerves and blood supply, and then reposition the head under a hood of flesh to create a clitoris. The penile skin was used to create labia and the hair was removed from the scrotal skin to create the lining of a new vagina. In theory, this is a pretty reasonable way to do things. This is on paper, what is supposed to be happening. But once they're in, they're getting other people involved. And it's just like madness.
