If they've got a hardware it just sort of shifts sort of the epic center of what's going on doesn't it that's all. The Americans made particularly from 1943 onwards on naval enigma but also as I say on the Japanese stuff you know them and they had some amazing successes. There are examples where over dependency on Bletchley Park turned out to be unwise so yes if you forensically pick over the intelligence that was available you would now say well surely it was obvious and they ought to have cottoned on to what was going on.
