The Cost of Carbon Sequestration
Today we produce 2.5 million tons of cement - many times that of concrete, by heating it to 1600 degrees C. Centigrade. It's almost ridiculous we could take that much material and heat it to that temperature just to make cement. Now the person who said to me, I'd like to use carbon dioxide which is CO2 as a feed stock to make CO3. So he wants to make building materials out of this. And as ridiculous as that sounds in the very first meeting I said, this is great. Shot on goal. Let's take it. We guess there was probably a 90% chance it wouldn't work. Today I would say there's a 90%
