The Battle of Sibiliyun Sea

The Battle of Sibiliyun Sea was, even though the Japanese lost a huge battleship, there was a tactical victory for them because Carita's force was able to continue the fight in advance toward Leyte Gulf. By the end of the day and 24 October, he gets reports from his aviators that he has scored a great victory over the course of these five strikes. In reality, the Americans sank this heavy battleship, Nusashi, and the sent the cruiser back, but the aviators claimed much greater success. So all of these under the impression that the center force, as he called it, had been crippled.
