Children Are the Future, Right?

We live in a society which is capitalist. It has private property with the right to destroy the property. It has hoarding. And that I guess has certain effects on childhood. As children, we learn and internalize dominant cultural hegemony. We come to understand the way the world works and how the world should work. The process of child raising as it currently exists is very much oriented around preparing children to be workers or whatever other class position they may hold.
