We've been treating the earth as if it were a supply house and a sewer. But i our earth is not a supply house in a sewer. It is our larger body. We breathe it, we taste it, we are it. The very fragrance of our days is not in permanence. Song itself cannot happen without time, without the voice rising and falling away.
