Milton Friedman's Relationship With Jimmy Carter

William McGurn: Jimmy Lye and Milton Friedman had a close relationship that stemmed from shared principles about man and freedom. He says the two men were both committed to free markets, including Hong Kong which featured prominently in his TV series Free to Choose. The Wall Street Journal editorial board member spoke last week at the Cato Institute's biennial Milton Friedman Prize for Advancing Liberty.
