Why Do We Need a Synapse Between Another Neuron?
We need a synapse that turns an electrical signal into a chemical signal. It allows for us to modulate what that next signal is going to be. And that neurotransmitter may be excitatory like glutamate or inhibitory like GABA. So it's super important, and then we're back to the beginning again and the whole thing starts again - which I love.
