Hayek, Churchill and Atley - Is That Really the Case?
Churchill and Atley took very different positions on Hayek that they both seem to accept the Karakatured version. And I think the puzzle about Hayek is that he did indeed hold the most extraordinarily crazy right-wing views. He wanted to bore Argentina. He thought Pinochet was a beacon of freedom. But as often happens with economists, their political views and their economic theory aren't quite as closely related as they imagine.
