The Politics of Abortion in the United States
I'm looking from a country where abortion has not been so politicized. I wouldn't claim expertise here, but I would say that it's pretty much treated as a sort of public health issue. In the United States, unlike many countries in Latin America, let's say most OBGYNs are pro-choice. They do want people to be able to access the full range of reproductive health services. So we definitely didn't follow the path of depoliticization.
