How Did You Find Your Way Into the Electricity Industry?
When he was a young engineer in the electricity supply industry, late 70s through to the 80s, there was so much commissioning going on. I remember a great trepidation and a few sleepless nights as I was about to take possession of the most modern substation. And let me tell you, it was a sobering one-jim because at that moment when you're asking them to energise the line, the transformers and make sure that everything is synchronised. That was, I remember this day making the call and having the buttons pressed to connect... thank goodness everything stayed connected without any thumping noises in the background.
