Tips for Conservative Investors
The yield on tips stands for treasury inflation protected securities. Tips pay their coupons like a bond does, but the coupon adjusts up and down over time based on inflation. The only thing I would caution them about is just remember that they monitor one index,. There's always going to be a little bit of a lag. So they're not perfect, but it's much better than having money sitting around doing nothing.
