Dr. John McCloskey: Conservatives talk about equality of opportunity, but that doesn't seem like what they mean. He says the best society is a free one where people are not artificially constrained in the race. In 1950 only 5% of American occupations required a state license; now it's over 30%. "Liberalism ought to be called adultism," he says.
