Is There a Dilemma Between the Church and the Rural People?

i have been working in the church archives here in santiago for three weeks. One thing i can't say for certain as nowf what i've been able to sort of uncover is that, you know, the church was not homogeneous,. Not in latin america, and defly not in santiala. And so there's a great debate on whether to use liberation theology at this time. The idea of liber is so tied up with marxism. At this time, the catholic church as a global institution and marxism as a global ideology are seen as antithetical.
