How Do You Write a Novel About Two Puritan Kerns on the Run?

Ned and Will are two Puritan kernels on the run. They were devoted to one another, and they were devoted to their families. And I think people on the run are always sympathetic. You want them to get away, especially if the fate that awaits them is hanging, enjoying, and quartering. So in the end, I think I did manage to make them sympathetic, and I did come to like them myself.
