Is There a Way of Capturing Arguments?

So what is an argument? i think it's helpful to think of an argument like a staircase that has steps that lead to a conclusion. The goal is hopefully to help somebody take those s to see something that's true. O, so what is validity, the technical term for ain logic? The argument is logically deductively valid if those steps, if they're true, then that conclusion is true.
