The Role of the Imagination in the Treatment of Occurrence

Ucide is really a disorder of the imagination, rather than a disorder of perception. We should be looking for perceptual biases or misperceptions and not at obsessions. If you can cross over to the imagination, you can exclude the imagination hat helps anchor yourself in reality. The current condi model says that intrusion is eprfectly normal - but i don't think they're the origin of obsessions. I think obsessions come because the person has confused some imaginary possibility with a real possibility.
