Christianity Today hired Russell Moore as its editor in chief, who has attacked 80% of the evangelicals who voted for Trump. Julian Zelizer: These institutions have been staffed by people who don't necessarily represent the concerns of the base. He says they are united around a certain set of positions and if you don't hold to those positions, you're not going to get a hearing. The influencer class is basically why there's an influencer class, Zelizer says.
