Tax Collectors and Sinners

The Jewish people hated tax collectors because they paid Rome to be tax collectors. Whoever became the highest bidder for a particular area took all the money from their own people and gave it to Rome. Jesus was unusual in his architecture for what it meant to put people together for his purposes, which means whatever challenge you have with me or with your neighbor or with your friendor with somebody who used to be your friend.
