Mary Roach: I was sitting on the deck and I was reading when a rat ran across the deck. She says she's so conditioned to rat, you know, that she thought, got to get a snap track. And then of course it got into the wall; her husband is like, your little friend is in the wall. There are lots of ways to keep rats out, but don't have something to attract them,. In this case, he just wanted a place to nest and have babies, which we didn't want to happen.
