The Three to Five Questions You Might Have When You're on Boards
The most common procedural question is, hey, what are the indications? What are the contraindications of this procedure? And for IOs, that is a major contraindication as you just said, fractures and cellulitis. You don't want to be placing an IO in a fracture site. Those three don't correlate that well with these venous samples. Epinephrine, RSI drugs, and you can even do drips with pressure bags. Giving fluids, you're more than happy to do that as well.
