I grew up listening to dinner table conversations about doctors who make mistakes, life altering mistakes. My dad was suing doctors and hospitals for in order to secure a better life for those people who had been harmed. So my perspective on the medical community was completely different than my friends. I found a book about home births that talked about it as a natural process. You can see that the groundwork was laid for me to be receptive to the arguments of home birthing.
