Not everyone has heard office hours from their parents or even attended office hours because their ma was a professor. A student father told her nd and he was a handy man, he said mea, you don't want to get where you are by kissing buty,. You want it based on hard work. She never went to office ous. Her father's advice really shaped her understanding. And again, his advice wasn't the most effective advice for navigating college. Because connections matter.
