I think many people are concerned about large-scale catastrophes that could possibly kill everyone in the world from nuclear war or a really worst-case pandemic. And even I, like as a relatively optimistic person, I'm very worried about these risks and take them seriously as possibilities that I want to avoid in my own lifetime. But one of the things we should care about is just the enormous potential loss in terms of kind of well-being and further development and accomplishment if human race were to completely end. So it's good for people to have what I would regard as kind of a collect model understanding of the world because perhaps there's more that we can be doing to benefit future generations
