Can Human Noise Affect Birds' Reproduction?

There's no major trend of noise or light influencing the timing of when birds start their nest. But it's once you start digging into the details where we really start to see some interesting patterns. One such pattern was how human produced noise affected bid that had calls of different pitches. The white breasted nuthatch, a small song bird found across much of north america has what's known as low frequency vocalization. Its call is higher pitched, at a frequency quite unlike the sounds being produced by humans. And this sort of trend with noise affecting birds with lower frequency vocalizations was seen across the data set.
