Is Your Comp Plan Wrong?
I want more than 50% of my reps, 80% of the way to quota or higher. It's a delicate balance. You don't want it to be so difficult to attain quota that most people are missing it and missing it by a large number. Your sales reps aren't stupid. They're going to find that out really quickly and they're going to leave. But there is also value in making goals hard to hit and incentivizing people to strive for.
