The History of the English Revolution in the 16 Forties

Most historians would accept the first of the modern cycle of revolutions as being the 16 forties english civil war. But there is still that zero consensus among historians as to when does the french revolution happen. And at what point does it become a revolution? And what makes it a revolution like not? I mean, still nobody really agrees about that.
