The GOP's Six-Week Abortion Ban in Iowa Is Moving Forward
A six-week abortion ban that Republicans are pushing in the state is moving forward. The bill is called the fetal heartbeat bill. It was blocked by the courts when the governor, Kim Reynolds, asked the Supreme Court to essentially revive that legislation from 2018. That is why this special session has been called.
