Remote companies used to be able to get away with paying you less and fewer benefits because working remotely was such a moat. But now, more than ever, i feel like i could pretty easily get a job, and probably get a job that's paying me more than i've ever been paid. That's crazy to meand it's a new paradime that happened within the last 12 months. Remote is no longer a moate, eh? A mote being like a competitive advantage for companies. And yet, what are the benefits? I think you just licit a bunch of them.
People say that COVID was an accelerator, forcing trends that may have taken decades to develop, to instead take hold in much less time. Remote work was one of those trends. But we're not done yet!
The future of work is constantly evolving and it doesn't just impact whether you can Zoom without pants. :)
In this episode, Cal and Steph discuss the second and third order effects of the remote revolution and what's to come. And in part one of this series, they discuss how this equation impacts the individual and companies. In part 2, they'll talk about new products and services, and macro trends to come.
