Electroshock Therapy and the Stigma of Mental Illness
Mental illness had a real stigma in the 20th century and many people didn't want to seek treatment. Electroshock known today as electroconvulsive therapy is still used in a modified form though today among the modifications, it uses smaller electric currents than in the past. And without being too sick of intake, I think the church and the world is better off with a Jimmy Akin the way he is.
