EKG for Exited Delirium and Toxidromes
Patients with excited delirium need immediate attention. If the patient is violent, agitated or uncooperative, you're not going to attempt an EKG. The vast majority of patients are fine to receive antipsychotics. It's the patients that have a documented history of QTC prolongation that we should be concerned about.
