Elcano took a dilapidated Victoria and sailed her ten thousand miles, rounding the Cape of Good Hope. 270 men had left Spain, and less than 100 had returned. Elcano has a bit of mixed reputation in history. He's often portrayed as an opportunist who cleaned up after Magellan did all the hard stuff.
