The Accident in Edson, Alberta, Canada
Preliminary report from the ATSB shows that they were in on a second drop of retardant and something happened. The pilot was one of the most experienced pilots with the company who was flying this aircraft at the time so just off of that information I would have to think to myself that it's less likely that it's pilot air and more likely mechanical failure but we don't know that until the entire investigations out.
