Spencer: The church does not have the funds to solve world hunger, but it certainly has the funds to put a real big dent into it. Spencer: There's a major concern that you have church welfare resources that are being used for inflating the amount of work that is done in LDS charities. He says members in need are now being encouraged to seek aid from government and community before requesting the church help.
