What Is Going on With Mesophonia?
Mesophonia is a disorder that gets at people's experiences of their internal world. It can be heightened with close loved ones, such as sick or allergic colleagues. The brain monitors these sounds and interprets them according to Philip Gander from the University of Iowa. He says we can modulate cognitive responses based on our breathing patterns.
