The Structure and Concept of Religion
Dr. Eurek: We have gone beyond the very definitional aspect of religion, and we actually look at religion from a very different perspective now. Religion is primarily seen as a discursive, but also material means through which people connect themselves to something that is bigger than themselves. So identity might also be, might also be resulted from violence, from violent situations. And so, conflicts over how to relate to gods or spirits may cause conflicts or tensions.
