Do Parents Have More Influence on Adolescent Risk Taking?

There's an idea that the teen ages are egged on by their peers to take risks, and that parents don't have a whole lot of influence over them at this point in life. What we find is that teans are more likely to go along with what their parent says than with what their peer says. And actually teans kind of are independent thinkers, and stick with what they think are positive and negative behavior is more so than they are to goAlong with others.
