Most of the data values that you're probably going to be interacting with are for the most part just arrays. APL is like the first one, right? It was sort of, I guess, 1958-ish and it's pretty old before Transolder also. But back in that time, people were concerned with numeric computation,. So character data is slightly an afterthought and anything else is basically like, well, who needs that?
