The Importance of Personalization in the Media Experience
Netflix has been looking at releasing shows on a weekly cadence because of the space it gives for conversation between episodes. To me, binging was always stupid. I think personalization as done with media oftentimes is terrible. It sacrifices serendipity and you lose something in the media experience. My issue with personalization is I find it creepy because TikTok thinks they know what I want.
