How to Riff on a Comic Before You Go Into a Set

I would say you got to get in the habit where that is always hitting and it's got to be super short so you're not taking away from your set. I wouldn't go into long setup or long story like I'll see some hosts say say things like well speaking of dust busters here's a story about dust busting. It sucks the energy out of the room based on the fact that the guy who just went last had all this energy for his closer, then but now you want to bring up a story. So that'd be the only thing I would say keep it tight and quick in terms of riffing on something that the comics said before.
