I've seen some of this firsthand with my son who's 10 and wanted to play flag football so did one season and the next season I chipped in to help coach. One kid actually had some athletic ability but spent most of his time as parents just let him sit on screens. There were other kids nutrition, you know they hadn't hadn't eaten in six hours and it's like 6pm and it's practice time. The last thing they did eat was like a lunchables and these mini bites or something like little little muffins and they hit six hours ago.
