What Is the Saltiness of Sea Water?
A kilogram of water is basically one big, meter sized bottle of soda. The majority of the salt in the ocean is sodium chloride but there are also salts made from other minerals like magnesium and sulphate. So when you taste sea salt, it has some of these other elements in it which gives it a slightly more bitter taste than regular old table salt that's just sodium chloride.
