The Civil War in France

In 18 70 all europe was aware of tensions between bismarck's prussia and napoleon the third's second empire. The sudden declaration of the franco prussian war in july of 18 70 surprised everyone, even if it was also, paradoxically, not unexpected. Marks would wind up writing three addresses for the international at three key moments over the course of the next year. These three addresses would be collected 20 years later and published by engles under the title the civil war in France.
