Lore is a podcast that sits at the innersection of the dark and the historical. This week, we look at an incident in which some hounds were killed by a mysterious horse. The fox tried to make a treacherous leap on to a narrow ledge but was stopped when it saw the horse's fiery eyes. A cry went up from across the river, high and piercing, even over the sound of the waterfalls. It sounded like the ominous laugh of a devil taunting him and his loss.
