William maynard hutchins is an award winning translator of arabic literature. His best known translation is the cairo trilogy by negi mafuz, who won the 19 88 a bell prize for literature. Since retiring in two thousand 19 william has had many published or forthcoming translations. They include iben arabi's small death, a fictionalized confession of the thirteenth century mystic iben adabi by soudi.
