How to Decode Your Thoughts in an FMRI Machine

If I want to go into an fMRI machine with a researcher who wants to decode what I'm thinking, you can get down to like continuous language and imagine thought in my brain. Now that needs to happen voluntarily because you can effectively use countermeasures against it. You have to have a classifier that's actually trained on your brain activity for the classifiers to be able to decode what you're thinking. So we can start there, which is if I want to get into an f MRI, it can happen today. It might be useful to differentiate here between voluntaryness versus involuntaryness.
