Is There a Difference Between Race and Nephrology?
CNN's John Sutter talks with iReporters about stories they've covered. This week, we look at an equation used in nephrology to estimate kidney function. It uses the value from a blood test for greatinin and uses your age and use your sex. If you're black, your score gets boosted by about 15%. And if you're not black, it doesn't; this score is used to classify severity of disease.
