Keeping a Radio Studio on Air

The BBC did an experiment a few years ago where they said, let's see if we can keep a radio studio on air just by human endeavour. It would be wonderful to try and do that, but when you start to look at the maths, you find that it just doesn't add up. To run your bar fire in your house, you'd probably have to have 10 people pedaling away to do that in a sustainable way for one person's bar fire. Thankfully, there are ways to mitigate this in other ways because we are moving towards much more economic use of electricity,. materials and devices which use a lot less energy and waste a lot fewer energy.
