The Effect of Status Games on Depression
If you start off rich and then end up poor, that leads to a state of depression. Of course, money is not the only form of status. We may be playing some other game like looks which many people tend to play. The entire women's cosmetic industry is a multi-billion dollar industry. It's across the gender spectrum in general. So I don't think any human can escape because this is quite quite a primal wiring in our brains.
