Brake Dragging and Overheating in the Brake System
All system components involved were examined against several criteria to identify any failure. Some deficiencies were identified in the master cylinders, but none of these deficiencies were found to have caused brak system pressure to be maintained. The crew would probably not have noticed the initial breaking pressure of 50 p asi during the takeoff run. This was because this was not an accident.
